The OG GORUCK Event that we’ve executed in thousands of cities worldwide since 2010. This Challenge is not for everyone. You need to train hard with a rucksack and a sandbag prior to showing up. Not so that we can test you as an individual, but so that you can better serve your team. The weight will be heavy, the distance will be long, and there is no way to get through this without the people to your left and the people to your right. Strangers at the beginning are a team by the end. This is a life changing event, a rite of passage where you will learn about yourself. You’ll learn about leadership and teamwork and you get to take that back with you to your daily life. Additionally, the Cadre will teach a couple Basic Survival skills during the Tough. Think of this as a part ruck/part physical fitness event/part survival skills all smashed together in a 10-12 hour timeframe. This is the First Wilderness Tough we are executing.
When you successfully complete the Challenge, your Cadre will hand you a cold beer and a patch that will never be for sale.
Fearing he would "miss the war," Norwich dropped out of the Nation's oldest private military college, joined the Army, and was awarded the Green Beret. Known on his teams as either Norwich or Boy Scout, the tenants of each are captured in ink on his back. Now separated from Group and uniformed service, Norwich is meshing his military and first responder experience to assist in the development and delivery of instructor-led training courses, classes, and workshops relevant to counterterrorism, preparedness, and resiliency to various public and private sector audiences throughout the great Garden State. Norwich is happily married to a remarkable woman and enjoys raising a daughter with a balance of glitter and grit.
