About this event

Date & Time

How do we cram a Heavy into a Tough? You'll find out. No time for breaks or for weakness. Just do the work and keep doing it as a team. Train up really hard for this one and expect it to suck really bad. As a Cadre reunion, your Cadre for this event will be those Cadre with the best/highest rated Cadre of the year. The after party will happen at GRHQ. Even if you drop, you can still drink all our ice cold beers as you search for whatever was left of your soul on the beaches.

If you're training up for other, longer events or just want to take on the next evolution of our Classic GORUCK Tough Challenge, this is the event for you.

10-12 HOURS, 15-20 MILES. THE ORIGINAL CHALLENGE. AVERAGE COMPLETION RATE: 94%

Event Cadre

Jason

Army Special Forces

Iraq, Africa, Europe

Jason started GORUCK so Monster could fulfill his destiny to become President of GORUCK Nation. And yeah, Lion King eat your heart out.

Event Cadre

Dan

Army Special Forces

Afghanistan, Europe, Asia

One of the OG (Original Gangsta) Cadre, Dan has been instrumental in the development of various GORUCK events -- and he's always sure to sum up his thoughts in killer power-point presentations of no fewer than 40 slides. He's fond of smoking cigarettes and drinking beer at any elevation.

Event Cadre

Matt S

Navy Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman

Africa, Middle East, Asia, South America

Matt currently has a Masters in Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Management, so you should probably stay on the right side of Johnny Law when he's around. He currently resides in Virginia with his wife and four sons aka mini assault team, where he enjoys cheering on the Saints and reminiscing about gator hunting back home in Louisiana.

Event Cadre

Brad

Army Special Forces

Iraq, Middle East

Brad grew up in rural Missouri with nothing much to do besides drink beer and shoot firearms (never at the same time of course). He said becoming a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant wasn’t much different than that. These days he still enjoys beer and guns but he also likes to mix it up with bringing his own special dose of Good Livin' to GORUCK Events.

Event Cadre

Mocha Mike

Army Special Forces

Iraq, Middle East, Asia

Ranger Bat, endurance events, and the life of a Green Beret made Mocha the million dollar man. As in, that's how much hardware he has in him. He loves his family, long walks with the four legged kids and 8-shot mocha's!

Event Cadre

JC

Force Recon Marine

Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa

Jerry hails from Michigan but has much love for Louisiana...so Geaux Blue! He believes in family, tradition, and good old healthy livin'. He once ran a 50K and will think twice about doing that again. He loves challenges and encourages competition, so be prepared to bring it.
