About this event

How do we cram a Heavy into a Tough? You'll find out. No time for breaks or for weakness. Just do the work and keep doing it as a team. Train up really hard for this one and expect it to suck really bad. As a Cadre reunion, your Cadre for this event will be those Cadre with the best/highest rated Cadre of the year. The after party will happen at GRHQ. Even if you drop, you can still drink all our ice cold beers as you search for whatever was left of your soul on the beaches. If you're training up for other, longer events or just want to take on the next evolution of our Classic GORUCK Tough Challenge, this is the event for you.

Mocha Mike

Army Special Forces

Iraq, Middle East, Asia

Ranger Bat, endurance events, and the life of a Green Beret made Mocha the million dollar man. As in, that's how much hardware he has in him. He loves his family, long walks with the four legged kids and 8-shot mocha's!

Event Cadre

DS

Air Force Combat Controller

Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Africa, Haiti

Dan spent his formative years chasing the thrills in the fluid environment of Special Operations. He attempted to calm the chaos of an ever-evolving battlefield armed with a radio, a positive mental attitude and a strong cup of coffee. His three primary mission sets now consists of keeping up with one lucky lady, a feisty daughter and a sweet Rhodesian Ridgeback named Maya. Dan maintains and teaches a “ready for whatever” level of fitness. He finds, fixes and finishes the best chow possible in the most exotic locations. He respects hard workers, risk takers, and those willing to take on arduous and entertaining experiences.

Event Cadre

Cody G

Army Special Operations

Iraq, Afganistan

Cody likes to think of himself as a door-kicker turned hippie. In his free time, he is probably out paddle boarding, drinking kombucha, or enjoying an ice cold nitro cold-brew (possibly all at the same time).
