Veterans Day

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."
– President John F. Kennedy

Veterans Day is the occasion to honor those who signed a blank check to America. The action to the words “Thank You for your Service” is rucking around your city, learning about Veterans, and performing a Service Action in your community. Cadre and Ruckers are expected to bring a picture and bio of someone who served. Cadre will provide the opportunity for you to tell their story and honor those who have served.

4-5 HOURS, 7-10 MILES. LIGHT = FUN ON A TEAM. AVERAGE COMPLETION RATE: 100%

What to Bring

  • A rucksack aka backpack (GR1 or Rucker recommended)
  • Ruck Plate = to your weight requirement

  • Hydration Bladder: Source 3L recommended
  • Nalgene bottle (1L) or equivalent (electrolytes recommended)

Matt currently has a Masters in Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Management, so you should probably stay on the right side of Johnny Law when he's around. He currently resides in Virginia with his wife and four sons aka mini assault team, where he enjoys cheering on the Saints and reminiscing about gator hunting back home in Louisiana.
