ABOUT THIS EVENT

SMALL UNIT TACTICS/SUT (FORCE ON FORCE)

Small Unit Tactics/SUT (Force on Force) is an in-depth course that is typically restricted to Special Operations Units and law-enforcement tactical teams. This course will start with familiarizning participants with the principles of patrolling techniques. By the end of the course, participants will be able to move tactically as an individual, buddy team, fire team, and be able to operate at the infantry squad level. Participants will also be able to react to contact, while having the basic understanding  on how to conduct sustainment operations in a rural environment.

 

This course is not for beginners, but instead for those who have attend our tactical Level 2 and 3 courses. Please note that this course will utilize simunition, and will be supplied by GORUCK therefore No ammunition is required by the registered participant.

The duration of this course is approximately 9-hours.

All GORUCK Firearms and Tactical courses utilize scenario-based training which is incorporated into dry practice to live fire. All participants will practice target identification and discrimination, movement, weapons manipulation along with other dynamic drills with the Cadre. Drills will be facilitated with inert weapons, enabling a safe and realistic training enivornment. Both pistols and rifles will be rendered inert with barrel/chamber blocking plugs. Further, each student must fully particpate in dry practice prior to commencing any live fire.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Paintball/airsoft mask or protective face shield
  • Mil-Spec AR15 rifle platfrom chambered in 5.56/.223 with NO LIVE AMMO (This will be converted to fire simunitions by the Cadre)
  • Minimum three rifle mags
  • Muzzle down sling (rifle only)
  • Weapon mounted light on rifle
  • Weapon mounted light of pistol (optional)
  • Additional external light source/hand held
  • Headlamp with both white light and red light capabilities
  • 5.56 mm barrel safety plug
  • Tourniquet (Cat-7 or SOFT-T)
  • Whistle
  • 2 each Green and Red Chemlight
  • Glock 17 holster with 3-mags (NO LIVE AMMO)
  • Eye protection (sunglasses are fine, but you must also have clear lens for low light use)
  • Electronic hearing protection
  • Gloves
  • Sturdy belts
  • Magazine holdlers for both 9mm and 5.56
  • Long pants
  • Close-toed shoes
  • water, food, snacks for the duration of the course

  • Additional range/firearms gear is good (there is always a GRT in need)
  • Reflex/Red Dot Optic, (Rifle Only)
