Self Responder is a trauma centric first aid course that will teach you the skills needed to save your life and the lives of others after a potentially fatal incident. Traumatic injury is one of the leading causes of death for people under 50 in the US. A significant portion of those deaths are from severe bleeding – a preventable cause of death due to trauma. This class will use simunition pistols and moulage to simulate scenario based training. This is a scenario based course.
This course is meant for participants of all skill and fitness levels. Firearms, live weapons, or blades are not required for this course.

IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) or at minimum:
A subject matter expert (SME) in the field of Counter Terrorism (CT) and security best practices with over 16 years of operational experience. Areas of concentration and expertise: high-risk police tactics, special operations (SOF), dignitary protection (CP) and close quarters battle (CQB). Bernardo retired from active duty law enforcement in the Border Patrol. His last duty assignment was as an assaulter in a special missions unit (SMU) focusing on direct action and low visibility operations. Other law enforcement positions include; Federal Air Marshal service, Dignitary Protection Division (protective detail to the IDF chief of staff), Federal Law Enforcement instructor and Counter Assault Team (CAT) member within the Israeli Dignitary Protection Unit. Between direct action missions in the IDF, Border Patrol, aviation security and dignitary protection assignments, he has hundreds of operational missions in his background.
