FIGHT - LEVEL 1
You find yourself on the wrong end of a gun or a knife in a non-permissive environment. You are unarmed, what do you do?
FIGHT is self-defense training. We use rubber knives and plastic non-guns for disarming and defensive movements. The focus includes basic combatives and defenses. You will learn common defenses used by US and Israeli Special Forces as well as security establishments and gain enough understanding to practice these lessons with your battle buddy.
We've incorporated Brazilian begiiner Jui-Jitsu moves into this FIGHT Class! Which means not only will you learn self-defense training with rubber knives and plastic guns, but also how to use your body and your opponents body to your advantage.
Participants who complete this FIGHT/Murder Yoga Event will earn the traditional FIGHT patch & the Murder Yoga Patch - which will never be for sale.
Firearms, live weapons, or blades are not required for this course.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES
This is a physically active course based on self-defense. Participants must be able to bend, twist, and strike without difficulty. In an effort to put participants in the right mindset we perform short duration physical stressors throughout the training day. All courses develop skill sets that would be utilized in a high stress, worst case scenario. This is simulated in training by elevating the heart rate through movements such as sprints, burpees, pushups and other exercises.

CADRE MACHINE
Garret served as a combat soldier in the Duvdevan Unit of the Israeli Defense Force, where he gained extensive combat experience from multiple operations in support of Israeli counter terrorism and national security objectives. Duvdevan is a counter terror (CT) unit specializing in urban warfare, hostage rescue, targeted assassinations and kidnapping of wanted militants throughout the West Bank, Gaza Strip and border nations. Later, he provided Personnel Security Detail (PSD) for Ministry of Defense officials on high risk assignments, while also earning his masters degree in government while in Israel. Finally, he served as a police officer with the Israeli national police in a low visibility police intelligence unit. After returning to the US, he joined the USCG Tactical Law Enforcement Team (TACLET) and further distinguished himself by earning the Director of Homeland Security Award for his performance at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Currently, he works for the US Department of Homeland Security.

Born and raised in the sunshine state, I began my journey with the Navy in the late 90's. Serving as a Navy S.E.A.L allowed me to visit numerous countries and gain valuable experiences. Following my time in the Navy I became an instructor for the military. Shortly thereafter I found GORUCK which has afforded me the opportunity to teach others the lessons and skills I gained throughout my military career.
