GORUCK is The Rucking Company and we have executed over 10,000 rucking events since 2010, empowering a global community of ruckers. The City Rucking Series is a great way to join GORUCK Nation, to meet people who live our way of life, and to explore your city or a new one on foot.
Join us as we commemorate the 32nd anniversary of the battle in Somalia, where 18 U.S. servicemen, including two Medal of Honor recipients, made the ultimate sacrifice. This Challenge honors the courage and sacrifice of Task Force Ranger—comprising the 75th Ranger Regiment, Delta Force, and the 10th Mountain Division—during the October 3-4, 1993 mission, which inspired Black Hawk Down. Expect a history lesson during a ruck back in time.
HOW IT WORKS
At the start point, your Cadre will give you the waypoints/points of interest that comprise your route. A quick route navigation on your phone and then you’ll get going. When you successfully complete your City Ruck, your GORUCK Cadre will hand you a cold beer and a patch that will never be for sale.
You have 2.5 hours to successfully complete your City Ruck 5K and earn the patch.
CADRE CT
Cadre CT served the majority of his time in the Army as a Green Beret in 3rd Special Forces Group. After his time in the military, CT worked as a contractor, still deploying, in support of Special Operations for the next several years. Altogether, he conducted seven combat deployments. Cadre CT started running events at GORUCK in 2015 and continues to enjoy meeting and spending time with everyone at events. When CT is not out at a GORUCK event, you can find him serving in the veteran's non-profit space, running his own business, or adventuring with his beautiful wife and son.
