The ruck march is used by different militaries all over the world. It’s one course in a series of tests Army recruits must complete to earn the Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB), a special skills badge awarded to Infantrymen who have demonstrated a mastery of critical tasks, including the ruck march, physical fitness assessment, land navigation, weapons navigation, and other individual tasks.
In the United States Army, candidates must complete a 12-mile march within 3 hours to earn the EIB. Participants will carry at least 35 pounds, and up to 100 pounds of gear. They’ll also carry a rifle.
We challenge you to put your training to the test and see if you have what it takes to pass the US Army 12-mile march.
Your Cadre will meet you at the start point of the 12-mile Ruck March. All participants will line up at the starting line and proceed when told to do so.
