US Coast Guard

"The cat with nine lives is a piker compared to the Coast Guard. You can kick this old service around, tear it to pieces, scream from the house-tops that it is worthless, ought to be abolished or transferred to the Navy, have the people in it fighting among themselves and working at cross purposes and it bobs up serenely bigger and stronger than ever."
– Rear Admiral R. R. Waesche, 1935

Created by Congress on August 4, 1790 at the request of Alexander Hamilton, the Coast Guard is the oldest continuous seagoing service of the United States. This Challenge is a Happy Birthday celebration of the history and contributions of the Coast Guard, and all who have served and are serving there.

5+ Hours. Lots of PT. Lots of miles. Details not forthcoming.

Pain is the theme of all GORUCK Challenges. Our Special Forces Cadres will ensure it’s pain with purpose by pushing individuals out of their comfort zones and building each class into a team. Train hard and show up ready. It’s worth it.
