RISE OF THE REBELLION

GORUCK TOUGH CHALLENGE
OUR ORIGINAL EVENT

  • 10-12 Hours - Our kind of fun with rucks on
  • Always a Team Event, Never a Race

On August 23, 1775, King George III declared the American colonies to be in open rebellion—there was no turning back. Now, 250 years later, join us in New York City for Rebels & Redcoats: The Empire Strikes Back, an overnight rucking adventure with colonial-era spy games. Navigate the streets like the Culper Ring, evade loyalist patrols, and carry the message of liberty through the city that would become a battleground for independence. Choose your side, test your wits (and fitness), and ruck into history as we commemorate the moment the rebellion became a revolution.

When you successfully complete the Challenge, your Cadre will hand you a cold beer and a patch that will never be for sale.

CADRE

SHOT HEARD AROUND THE WORLD

CADRE NORWICH
Fearing he would "miss the war," Norwich dropped out of the Nation's oldest private military college, joined the Army, and was awarded the Green Beret. Known on his teams as either Norwich or Boy Scout. Now separated from Group and uniformed service, Norwich is meshing his military and first responder experience to assist in the development and delivery of instructor-led training courses, classes, and workshops.

BIRTH OF THE ARMY

CADRE DAN
Jason McCarthy handed Dan his first GR1 in February of 2011 full of bricks wrapped in a towel. Since then Dan has been pounding pavement and building better Americans as Cadre for GORUCK. Every once in a while, he comes up with a half decent idea that GORUCK uses to keep Dan happy. Fueled by Copenhagen, Coffee and pure aggression (staples in 3rd SFG) Dan loves storytime during events and doing anything outside
